Scenic drive notes
Roads around Gangapur are good, with short hops between estates. Book a driver for tasting days — Nashik is about four hours from Mumbai by road and also has a rail link.
GPS points are approximate; estates have clear signage.
Tasting-room etiquette
Book tastings in advance, especially at weekends and harvest festivals. Don’t drink and drive — arrange a driver. Ask the winemaker about the grape you are tasting; harvest-time conversations are a gift.
Where to stay
Estate resorts near Gangapur lake, lakeside villas, and boutique stays in Nashik city.
